Like many of you, I put my faith in a name brand clay trap that I thought would catch all clay from going down my drain. We would consistently clean this trap and our sinks out on a regular basis. Unfortunately, after a year we noticed that water stopped draining and came to a complete stand still.  What we discovered was that clay sediment was building up over time in the drains below.  The cost to repair it went into the thousands.

We tried every major container and system on the market. What we found was that no matter how large of a trap you have, clay will travel into your drains over time.

How it Works:

The pottery sink operates independently of all plumbing and drainage and can be used in areas where a sink is not available. The system works but utilizing a settling bucket and a recirculating pump. As it is used, heavier clay enters the system and settles at the base of the bucket while water recirculates out of the faucet. The water will brown with heavy use.

Water should be changed out weekly in lighter use studios and twice per week in heavy use communal studios.

Our sink system uses

  1. one leak proof settling Bucket- utilizing a heavy duty sealing gasket.

  2. the toughest pressure activated motor we could find on the market.

  3. The most durable fittings available.

  4. a fool proof guide providing detailed instructions on how to maintain and keep it running for the long term. NO unnecessary filters or misc parts. Just what you need to get your tools and trays clean and keep you working.
